update

So many things I want to blog about, so little time these days.

OK for starters I did find that there's a label for eggs that you CAN trust that these chickens were not tortured. "Animal Welfare Approved". You can trust it to mean that they did not have their beaks seared off or confined in such quarters that their talons grew around cage wires. What's messed up is that, for cows, with this label castration and horn ripping out without pain relief is not required. Pathetic.

We found what I thought to be a buttery spread that was mostly soy free and vegan- Melt. Well poo on me I didn't read the ingrediants closely enough. Nor did my husband, which leads us both to believe we were in denial that there's not a buttery type of vegan spread that's not soy based. Butter stuff is listed at the end of the ingredients, right before soy lecithen. THANKS A LOT TURDS. Next up I'm going to experiment and make my own damn bread spread. I looove me some bread. And buttery spread. But not butter.

Also, I find that I feel the urge to enlighten everyone. AKA preach. But you know what, it sickens me to know that most people choose willful ignorance over the truth, because the truth a) REALLY REALLY hurts and b) is sooo "inconvenient". The one characteristic I hate 2nd only to lying is willful ignorance. And top this off with I know how much blatant visuals of regular cruelty ignited my ass to change my ways. So if I alienate 10 people who choose to remain stupid and enlighten 1 who chooses to change their ways, then to me it's worth it. People annoy the crap out of me anyway. It's no wonder I want to champion for animal rights and leave human concerns to the rest of the 8billion or whatever humans on earth.

OK. well as I say I'm busy. Wanted to pop in to keep this active... as I am completely consumed with it all and the blog hasn't been reflecting this....

Peas!!!
